Tachometer Fitting

Hi all I'm a new member and find the posts interesting and was wondering if someone could help me with the following?

I have purchased a tachometer and steering column cowl to fit to my aygo. When I look at other posts it seems to indicate that the top part of the cowl is separate yet mine seems to be all in one. Also when I loosen the two screws around the steering wheel to remove the cowl that is on it seems to be clipped to the bottom half, does it prise apart? I don't want to be heavy handed and snap it. All comments appreciated please.

Hi Reg and welcome along! ....Yes it comes apart, remove the screws and push the top half of the cowling upwards towards the windscreen...don't worry you won't break it, the plastic is quite flexible...there are just a couple of tiny lugs clipping the top to the bottom..........good luck ;-)
