Was wondering approximately how much it would cost to add my boyfriend to the car insurance? He is 40 and has been driving since 1990 with no convictions.

Very little I suspect except for an admin charge (£15 -£25?)

It cost me £21.99 to change address!!

Best directed to the insurance company me thinks, it would only be a guess otherwise

Think it depends very much on the insurance company, the boyfriends occupation, intended use, who would be the main driver, etc. If you're still the main driver, and the boyfriend's use is only 'social, domestic & pleasure', I would have thought the cost would be minimal. Only way to find out is to ask your insurance company.

Shouldn't be too much if he's had his licence for ages and doesn't have any incidents or points on his licence.

Before this stupid EU sexual discrimination crap, I put my mum on the insurance, even tho' she never drives nowadays, and it actually lowered it by £100! :yahoo:

Alas whereas it was just men that got discriminated against, now we're both discriminated against equally so I suspect that trick won't work anymore :(
