D4 Vs Td Vs D4-D Engines

I am looking to buy toyota avensis 1 2001 diesel. I was wondering what is the difference between D4 TD D4-D engines (except for power output). Which one should I buy better?

As much as I heard, D4-D are the most reliable ones, so I would like to ask, if seller says that power output is 115hp (85kw), is it still possible, that it is a d4-d engine? If yes, then why. As much as I know, D4-D's are 81kw. Does this mean that the engine has been modified? And if so, maybe I should think twice about buying a modified engine?

I think you are talking about 3 different engines.

1AZ-FSE 2.0 16v Petrol Called a D4 engine as it is a Direct injection petrol engine with 110kw

2C-TE 2.0 8v Turbo diesel with 66kw this was an early engine ( not common rail ) fitted up to the mid model facelift around 2001

1CD-FTV 2.0 16v Turbo diesel called a D4-D this was a common rail engine with 81kw fitted from 2001 onwards
