Usb Drive Returns To First Track When Starting The Car

I have a 2012 (62 plate) Yaris TR which I have owned since new. It has a rather irritating issue that until now I have put up with but it's driving me mad! If I play an MP3 CD, it will pick up from where it left off last time I drove the car (e.g. if it stops halfway through the 4th track of the 2nd album, it will start from there) but if I use the USB it jumps back to the first track of the first album - not constantly, but more often than not, so I end up having to go into the folder list to select the next track of the last played album. I have checked the manual and the settings on the unit itself but can find no way of changing this. Any ideas?

Thanks in anticipation,

Jason

Ours picks up where it left of every time, perhaps try a different USB stick?

I've tried 3 sticks, all do the same thing - two 1GB and an 8GB.

Could it be something to do with how the folders are listed on the USB stick?

For example do you have each artist/group as a folder, with separate albums as sub-folders to the artist/group folder.

I have the albums listed as separate folders.

They're in separate folders for each album, just one level - i.e.

1 - Artist - Album

2 - Artist - Album

etc

rather than

Artist

|_ Album 1

|_ Album 2

I wouldn't have thought it would make a difference, but I'll try anything if it works!
