Rav4 D4D - P0105 Obd Code

I'm hoping someone can help with this one.

We have a 53 plate D4D, which is hesitating badly under acceleration. On three occasions the engine warning light has come on, the first time it was Mass Air Flow sensor fault code (can't remember the OBD code), second two times has been code P0105, manifold barometric pressure.

I've cleaned the MAF sensor with the correct cleaner, and tested it for resistance, which was in line with specification.

I checked the turbo vane movement lever for movement and it seems fine. The inlet of the turbo does have a bit of oil in it, which seemed a bit odd but the guy at the turbo specialist I spoke to didn't seem that concerned. There was no play in the turbo spindle.

I've just taken off the EGR valve and cleaned it all out (it wasn't that bad - sooty really).

In spite of the above the problem still persists, probably getting worse over time, and I'm starting to run out of ideas.

Can anyone offer any help?

Thanks.

You might be better in the Corolla section where they may have come across this (I can move it there for you if you like?). I would squirt some WD40 around the manifold to see if it effects idle speed. If it does, air is getting in somewhere.
