Hello guys.

Can some one tell me is there any possibillity to retrofit cruise drive control on my 1.8 vvti 2008. Avensis. Honestly, no where on the net couldn't find one with mentioned accessory. It's in most D4D T25's, in all 2.0 vvti, in Corolla Verso's with 1.8 vvti engine, but in no one of Avensis T25's with 1.8 vvti engine !

Is there wiring and cruise drive modul in the car, but only stalk missing or what ? I'm not such a mechanic to dig into my car and check what's goin' on down there.

Any experiences about this issue ?

Thanks

Let's finish this topic, even it's not been read too much :disgust:
ECU of 1ZZFE engine ( 1.8 vvti ) does not support cruise drive mode. I retrofitted cruise drive stalk, original part, result was disappointing ... Simply, doesn't work, don't waste your time and money trying ...

Dear All,

any idea for the retrofit cruise control(with original Toyota parts) function in a 2005, T25 Avensis with the motorcode: 1ZZU64....?

I've read the previous comments, but those are for an Avensises with 1ZZFE motorcode.

I think that the 1.8 vvti was cable driven throttle so it couldn't be done.the electronic throttle body was needed in these so 2.0 vvti and the 2.0 d4d was the only 1's I know of.

Hi all

I have a 1ZZFE from 2003 T25 and i have cuise control working with original Toyota cuise stalk.

But it was not an easy thing to do. I fitted aftermarket cruise system Waeco ms50 and connected it with Toyota cruise stalk witch i rewired. Everything works.

I made a DIY instruction in Estonian Toyota Forum http://www.toyotaclub.ee/foorum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=12498

and another one for 1CD-FTV and 1AZ-FSE automatic owners http://www.toyotaclub.ee/foorum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=12368

They are in Estonian, but you could use a translator. If any questions, feel free to ask!
