Bluespark Fitted

Just a quick one

Got my full exhaust system fitted

Got my 18s on

Car lowered 40mm

Bluespark installed

Pics when it's clean :D

I'll be messing with the settings on the bluespark at the dyno station next weekend so you will have to wait for print offs for that, did a couple of tests myself (not that I needed too you can feel the difference) I knew that having it in 2nd at lowest rpm then flooring it would do the usual accelerate slow then turbo in at roughly 2000 rpm just over actually.

But then plugged the box in did the same tests, the usual slow bit at the beginning but before you knew it at around 1750 rpm the turbo boots you and off you go, I was expecting to see a later drop off in power this usually happened at 3900-4000 rpm without the box, I honestly can't feel any drop off in power at all now! Not that I'll be ragging it anything past that but a good test non the less.

Conclusion

Bluespark very very happy with, at a hell of a lot cheaper than most boxes I know, been told reason for this is because most boxes are bought in from Germany and have to pass there TUV tests to be used, bluespark made in Britain so back our boys!

Sounds interesting - any specs on the exhaust please ? Stainless steel, pipe diameter, cat-back, etc ?

Buck i can tell you what i know obviously but I'm no exhaust specialist, its full cat back, stainless, its a double on both sides so 4 exit if you like, looks the dogs gonads if you ask me but not to everyone's taste, the turbo is very very pronounced though!

gimme a minute ill go out and grab some pics for ya!

It looks nice, the pipes are not too big and a bit oval so it looks allright. With bigger and more round pipes it would've looked awful because of them hanging so low and being doubled on both sides.

Couple of questions: What did you use to lower it, any pics from the side with wheel specs included? Also what did you use to tint the rear tail lights, is it some matte film or even tint spray? Any chance to get pics with the lights on to see how visible they are?

Keep up the good work!

I used just springs to lower it as i thought it would be low enough, which it is.... Good choice really because road humps are really slow now as before it was any speed really :D

I'll get you some pics on from the side just as soon as I can, work permitting (dark when I get home)

It is spray, I did it myself with no experience and I actually found it quite hard to do, since I chose to do it on the car! Not taking the lights off! Turned out ok in the end though I reckon, I would like 1 more coat I think though but I think I'll get pulled over all the time if I do...

Again I'll try get some pics on of the lights asap but they are very visible.

Thanks a lot for your comments :D

I couldn't wait for the dyno on Saturday to try some settings, I'm like a big kid at crimbo! Tried all 5 maps on middle dial setting, from one to the other there's no big difference or it's too subtle to notice but from lowest to highest god damn there's a difference!!!

I was waiting for smoke on the highest setting.....

No smoke at all!

So I now have this really nice power from early in the rev range to really late at no visible cost.... Don't know how the engine is handling it but it's like a new machine (again).

I'm so pleased with the bluespark I can't really put it into words! Absolutely no regrets what so ever! Anyone wants to come and have a drive and try it out be my guest. I mean that.

Pics coming as soon as I can.

Looks pretty mean Karl  I wasn't sure about the multiple exhaust outlets, but I think the semi-stealth look does it justice.

As for the tuning box, I'm amazed you haven't had the dreaded black puffs of smoke on the highest setting ! Let's hope it continues that way :)

quick update

I've had the setting on highest constantly now, a little visible smoke, nothing to shout home about! could be the exhaust carbon-ing up?? nothing that would warrant me turning it down, pros out-way the cons still for me!

pics coming on Saturday as requested....

ill try get a vid of car running with a few revs so you can all see....
