Indicator/hazard Dash Light

Hello,

Got an MOT coming up and reading the guidelines this'll fail it:

All indicator lights outside the car work fine however the right side dash light for the indicator does not flash most of the time for either indicating right or hazard lights. Nothing's blown and seems like a loose connection as every now and then it starts to work, and occasionally it just lit quite dimly.

Opened the bonnet and pushed and pulled wires along with pushing the fuses all well in in the fusebox as a first attempt.

Anyone have any ideas / have an idea of what to check? Is it difficult to get at the bulb itself? (If so probably wouldn't be able to do it myself).

Thanks

Aaron

Hi Steve,

I realised that it is lit, its just really dim, and normally only so in winter. The last 2 years in the summer half of the year it comes back bright, so will have to see if it does so this year...

I suppose it must be related to temperature if that's the case. I think it technically is an mot failure

Thanks Aaron. I have fixed my. It was a loose wiring. I removed the plastic surround around the dashboard display. this is just clipped on. This will reveal 4 screws holding the display unit. Remove these and the display unit can be pulled out to allow you to see the connectors. I wiggle this around and now it all works again.
