Iq Model Numbers

Does anyone know what "iQ (GJ1, AJ1) 01/2009" refer to I take it the date is the start of manufacture year, but what about the GJ1 & AJ1?

I saw them on a parts Vehicle Finder listing, so wondered if they are model specific designators.

Not sure about those codes.

The model designation KGJ10 is for the 1.0 iQ

NGJ10 is for the 1.3 iQ

NUJ10 is for the 1.4 iQ

Engine codes are 1KR-FE for the 1.0 engine

1NR-FE for the 1.3 engine

1ND-TV is the Diesel 1.4 engine

That probably doesn't help much though. :)

Yeah, I have seen those code before. But thanks for trying :) They both have the GJ1 in them just the prefix K/N is different????

Wonder what this means, 3 cylinder perhaps?

Have a quick look at your V5C registration certificate.

Under type mine states AJ1 (A)

Under varient mine states NGJ10 (G)

and under version it says NGJ10R-BGFNGW(2B)

Now I know that the part/accessory I was looking at is applicable (Don't ask, keeping quiet for now) :o
