My new backbox exhaust was £102 extra on insurance. Bear in mind it had only been renewed about a week before. It usually depends on your age, your NCB and how long is left of that years insurance.

Hi breezer

I told my insurance that it was a back box just for cosmetic looks only and i wasn't charged for the exhaust. I just said that it was a shiny stainless steel exhaust and added no performance to the car at all i just wanted it as it looked better than the original one

All depends on the insurance company really.

I currently pay an extra £50 to cover my stereo system. On my previous car I upgraded the brakes and put some alloys on, and they didn't charge me any extra.
