Touch Screen Dimming.

2014 Icon+ with Touch (no Go!) and auto lights sensor.

At night when dark with headlights on (manual) the screen dims - no doubt as it should - and remains dimmed.

I noticed this morning when out in reduced visibility, rain and dark clouds, with headlights on(manual), the screen initially dimmed but after a couple of miles changed to it's normal lights off brightness (not dimmed). This was with the headlights still on (manual).

Is this normal because the sensor has determined it's not dark enough to dim the screen? Or should the screen remain dimmed permanently with the lights on?

Your experience is normal.

I do not use the automatic function for lights and my screen dims/brightens according to ambient light.

I suspected it was meant to adjust as necessary but it's always good to receive a confirmation.
