What Part From Rear Suspension Subframe Is This? D4D 2005

Hi guys!

I went to my local TYRE shop to get a puncture repaired and asked them to see what the knocking noise was from under rear of car!!!!

Within seconds he pulled this out from under the rear of car!!!

It seems to be a damper to stop the rear axle hitting the subframe or the subframe from hitting the frame of car..iam guessing...

He siad there are 2 one on each side, the one left in the car is sucured by a brace/clamp ( a bit like iam holding it in the pic)

There are no screw holes to hold it in place its just solid piece of metal witha rubber bush attached to it!!

So it seems straight enough to go to Toyota to get a replacement ..

But NO , the parts guy had never seen this part before....and he is there a long time!!!!!!

I have been searching all over the net for this part and cannot find anything like it...the Toyota parts guy even questioned whether it was from my car!!!!!

But it is... as there is one on the other side!!!!

This is the print out that Toyota gave me , and the guy in Toyota siad the part is not on that list

Defo looks like a bumb stop alrite....

Think you are looking at part 51229B listed as a harmonic damper for rear subframe x 2
