Avensis T4 2011 Model

I've been driving a 00 1.4 hatchback corolla now for 8 years now and feel its time for an upgrade. I'm looking at a T4 2011 Avensis model - with some extra optionals - leather interior, heated seats, memory adjustable seats (some of the standards from the T Spirit)

Just wanted to see if there's anything I should be conscious of when looking at potential purchases? Any known major issues with this particular model?

Cheers for the help...

Parking brake actuator has been mentioned a few times.

EPB actuator failure seems to be pretty much more of a potential concern than an actual problem i.e. it's very rare.

Another thing to look for is cracking of the paint/skin on the front doors by the restrictor stay - there are some good photos in this forum.

I guess the car isn't a facelift?

The Valvematic petrol engine has a rattle from the vacuum pump - this is normal and there is nothing wrong. The diesels may need EGR checked/cleaned. Any issues will cause caution/warning symbols to appear. The EPB should auto release and later version auto apply when the engine is switched off. The gearbox can be a little tricky when cold, butI have an older '09 petrol and it is fine.

Basically test drive and compare. Read posts on this forum.

Fooled by the layout/system. I looked from the general forum page which shows the latest post from each of the models/range. if I had looked from within the Avensis - which I normally do, I would have spotted the how old the subject was. Mind you, I agree it is still useful now.
