Hi,

If its rattling as you describe, when heavily pressing the pedal it sounds like old fashioned pinking.

There are several other posisible causes according to the 'books' eg something worn in the valve gear or ancillary device, water pump etc

Does it coinside with anything you have changed recently ? wrong type of spark plug is one reason.

Could try putting in some high octante fuel and see if that lessens it..

Cheers for the reply. It started about 3weeks ago when the weather changed it was very hot on my way home one night of work i was pulling up my hill when she was under pressure I could here a slight rattle I check every thing once a week she had a misfire when she got warm so I changed the coil packs I've not changed the plug because there were new about 2months ago she had a full service at the time but the miss come on about 3weeks ago I've changed the crank shaft Sensor the only thing I have not changed is the knock sensor do you think it could be that I'm lost but I don't want to kill the motor so need some help from some were :)

Hi,

Its not something I have experienced but as said in the last post there is a baffle or something inside that works loose; if you follow that link and search this forum you will see there are diy 'fixes' you can do.

A s/h monfold might have the same problem....
