Central Locking Problems

Dear members,

Since now two weeks I am forced to manually lock and unlock my car because the unlock function on the remote is not working. I don't think the Battery is the culprit because when I press the lock button on the remote, the car does lock.

Your help is highly appreciated.

My daughter somehow managed to pry out the buttons on my car key. i had to buy replacement rubber buttons while doing that I realised how the mechanism works. I would recommend opening your key and taking a look it might be that your button is stuck or squeezed somehow preventing it from operating properly. I think its worth a shot.

on my partners old y reg estate the unlock button came off the printed circuit board and had to be re soldered back on. a fiddly job but can be done.
