Carina E 1.8 Gli - Exhaust Part Number

Anybody know the correct part number for ordering a new rear exhaust section for a Carina E 1.8 GLi?

Previously used TY495J when bought one back in 2011, now need a new one and getting conflicting information about which models this part is suitable for.

Anyone help?

I was in the same situation as you in trying to buy a new exhaust section for my Avensis. It seem that your Carina may use the same part, but you need to confirm this with any supplier.

I went to Euro Car Parts and they did not show a rear box for my car. I phoned Klarius UK and they provided the part number. Klarius and React supply exhaust to Euro Car Parts (ECP) and know the ECP part numbers. I went online using the part number and click and reserved the exhaust. You get a discount this way. I paid £56. It normally cost a lot more!

As a matter of interest, you changed your exhaust 3 years ago and it did not last long! What was the problem? I am asking as the materials now used like aluminium and stainless steel mean the exhaust should last a lot long than the mild steel of yesteryear. May be it was a mild steel exhaust, faulty workmanship or impact damage? Just wondering.

I did a lot of digging for the various parts of my exhaust system and went to various sites. May be one of them may be helpful to you.
