Toyota Corolla Mmt - Flywheel Needed?

Hi, I've been told my corolla (1.4 d4d mmt - 54 plate) needs a new clutch and possibly a new flywheel. The symptoms of the car are over-revving, sluggish pickup, funny engine sound, continuous beeping and smoke from engine when going up inclines! Anyhow, my local garage said I need a new clutch and a new flywheel - but when i've rung round for quotes there are some garages say that they cant find the flywheel on their spare parts list and since its a 1.4 a flywheel isn't needed/there is no flywheel in the car?! Can someone definitively tell me if my car has a flywheel or not? Many thanks.
