Help Please!

I have a the original Toyota clock radio in my Toyota Echo 2003 and have recently changed the car Battery. All features of the radio and CD play work so I don't have to reset the pin, but the clock display will not turn on. I have followed the instructions of the manual - pushing the seek button and the number 4 button when the radio is not turned on but this doesn't make the display come on.
