Aygo Door Speaker Recomendations?

Heya guys

Okay so far audio wise i have upgraded the head unit and the dash Speakers, however i now have 2 problems.

Problem 1: I blew the standard door Speakers. and it bugs me. alot.

Problem 2: i cannot decide on a replacement.

So heres where i ask the experts, I want some 16.5 cm door Speakers, ideally not much more than £50 but if its an outstanding speaker then sure. Sound wise i want something with pretty punchy bass. (i understand that for full on ground shaking bass i need a sub, im working on it :P) but just enough to feel the bassline on the rare occasion that i do the whole "boy racer" thing.

Just one other thing, i would prefer to have a set of components so that i can also upgrade the tweeters. Because if your gonna do something, do it properly.

So far on my own i have found these:

Alpine - My idea of high end, but not sure if theyll give me the kick i want.

Pioneer - Ideal price but same problem as above

Sorry for the late reply, i would give you a reason but i dont have one other than i get distracted easily.

My budget is around 50 quid but i will go higher if need be. Im not dealing with the possibilities of a sub at the moment.

I really like Pioneer, had speakers that last for years, and you can get some nice speakers for about $80.

Yea i must admit im leaning towards them, do you know the best 16.5cm's per chance?

I went with the Pioneer TS-A172Ci 350W Speakers. I made the right choice with these, just seeing them out the box next to my stock ones i thought i had made a terrible mistake with the depth. however due to the mounting points neeing to be the other side of where the standard door Speakers mount i was very easily able to buy some M5 washer and glued 3 of them together to make a correct sized spacer.

*NOTE* If you are going to do the same as me, glue 4 or 5, as the back of the speaker is sl close to where the glass goes that the rubbery material in between them is compressed and makes a squeaking noise when you move the window.

These woofers are teamer with 10cm alpines in the dash and a Pioneer head unit and overall i am really impressed with the sound quality. The bass has great midtones and the treble is handled nicely by the alpines. Rock and Metal sounds fantastic and the custom profile for my Hiphop songs really emphasises the bass.
