This is my first post so be kind.

I'm picking up a pre - reg IQ2 auto on Saturday in Pearl white and I really can't wait having wanted one for at least three years.

I'm coming to the IQ from another automatic Toyota...a GT86...yes you read that right. Had my GT86 for 2 years and despite it be the most fun exciting car I've ever had I was never comfortable with the worry & anxiety that goes with a car like it and also the never ending minor faults and annoyance's. Last week my patience snapped after yet another engine noise and straight on the Toyota website I went in search of an IQ2. I've had a great deal on my 3 month old car with 150 miles saving over £4k on list and getting back a fair chunk of money in return.

The iq really appeals and I love it's quirky, clever almost space age look. I only have a small commute and am looking forward to the petrol savings. Will post some pics when I pick it up.

Anyone got any ideas on accessories worth fitting? I'm think the glovebag for definite.

From what I can gather, the glovebag is about as much use as a 1 legged man in an **** kicking contest. Sort out a deceent interior light, dark nights are coming,. But welcome to the club and start thinking iq, I'e everything in compact dimensions, oh and the best bit u turns, still makes me grin

Thanks for that tony. Any tips on interior light as I've heard it's dim. Can the bulb be uprated? Will have to see the glovebag before i spend my £.

Interior light is an LED so not changeable. There is a chap here, David that does exchange uprated LED ones though or you can have a bash at modifying your own one as I did. Details in the link I posted on your lowering springs post.

I have the glove bag and yes, it's not as good as a dedicated glove box but it sure beats nothing. There is enough room in there for a few CD's, phone charger cable, pen, Torch Etc. What more do you need. It's also matches the trim of the car so blends in perfectly.

Picked mine up today and spent all afternoon cleaning it so it looks like new. Also bought the glovebag and pleased I did as it's stored quite a bit....c d's, touch and charger.

Glad you are happy with it.

I use the storage pouch in the back of the front passenger seat, it is very easy to reach without having to lean forward or even undoing the seatbelt.

There is a storage pouch in the passenger seat? I need to go and look at my car! :)

Hah, just thought. Is this something only on leather seats? The leather was chosen by the previous owner and I didn't take that much notice when I test drove a new one at the dealers.

Ahhh. Yes, must be a leather trim thing only, nothing on the standard cloth seats. :(

My iQ trim leather seats don't have one on the back ether. The leather seat covers are added post factory over the original seat base and back and I believe can be removed via clips on the base and the zips visible on the back so they don't have any pouches on them, on mine at least.

Gordon the leather "upgrade" is glued onto the original seats. Especially the back as if you dont it just flaps around like a drum. I upholstered mine myself with upholstery tools. Although they. Are a genuine Toyota kit, they come from Greece

My leather seats are factory fitted, but they don't have pockets on the back (bit of a shame!)

Strange, mine was first registered January 2011.

I'm guessing you have the later trim with the white door panels and the more specialised leather trim that came in a number of different colours and styles.

The retro-fit kit for the earlier models was quite different and only available in the plum colour I believe.

Just to clarify; I have the red trim Craig has posted (on a 2012 iQ) but it doesn't have pockets.
