Odd Clunking From Rear Suspension. Not Anti Roll Bar

Was looking at an St202 yesterday. When I push and pull the top of the rear wheels I can hear a clunk and habe play in the suspension.

While getting someone to repeatedly push and pull on the wheels I climbed underneath and checked for the source of the nnoiseand movement. All bushes and drop links are ok no play including the ARB bushes. It seems to be coming from the suspension strut but there is no sign of play from on top.

Can anyone shine some light on this. Ill buy it if its is a cheap fix as I dont mind getting my hands dirty.

Just got a good look at this with the wheel off.

2 burst shocks.

Haven't seen a set of shocks quite this bad before.

230,000 km on car and I suspect there original rear shocks. LOL
