It's a 1.3L 1999 E11 (I think) Not the VVTI engine.

It has 160,00 miles on it, but just pased it's test a few days ago and apart from a few paint bubbles at the edge of the bonnet, it looks very nice.

I think the colour is Coral (3L6)

Looking forward to asking for and giving advice (probably mostly asking) :D

Thanks all.

Thanks Uncle Buck ;) Although I have just found my first issue with it.

The blower works on all speeds, I can hear it blasting away, but no (or very little) air is coming through the vents.

Could the pollen filter be that blocked I wonder?

I guess it's possible ....

Sorry if this is an insult to your intelligence, but it's not set on recirculation by any chance ? Sometimes that can reduce the flow significantly. Just a thought :)

LOL, not it isn't on recirculation and I'm not easily insulted, so thanks for the suggestion ;)

Phew - no roundhouse kicks to the head then, lol.

Perhaps the pollen filter is a good place to start, followed by a detached hose behind the dash ?

Detached hose behind the dash is what I'm dreading.

I have ordered my Haynes manual online, but it won't arrive till the end of next week.

Thanks V much.

Hi Raistlin :)

As per my above post, I removed the cabin air filter today and now the air is blowing through the dash vents.

It was so bad, that my hands were covered in what looked like coal dust!!

The cabin or pollen filters aren't included in service schedules - it is seen as an additional item that owners may wish to be replaced. So quite often owners forget to replace them.

Couple of examples of third party pollen filters which I think will fit yours (but check with supplier):
