Auris Hybrid - What Is This Button?!

Hello all

I got my new Auris Hybrid Icon+ on the weekend and have been playing with all the gadgets etc.

I noticed this button (the bottom 'off' button) on the interior lights but can't seem to figure out what it does, also couldnt seem to find it in the manual. Can anyone help?

Thanks

The button is for you to cancel the intrusion sensor on the alarm - handy if you leave pets or the mother-in-law in the car and you don't want them triggering the alarm. Should be around page 108 of your owners manual.

Thank you, that makes sense now. I assumed it would have been in the 'interior features' section of the manual.

I also understand now why I was setting off the alarm a few times which is because someone was in the car.

Yes, theft sensor.

You always need to press it when leaving the car on a cross-channel ferry (as I've learned the hard way)!

It seems to work ok when I leave the dog in the car but it would be much more satisfactory if a light came on or a bleep sounded when the button was pressed to confirm that the alarm has been deactivated.

The red alarm LED should flash faster when you press the button. After a while it'll revert back to its normal rate.
