Hi All,

I've found a 1975 Hi-Ace Camper! I'm excited! Should I be?

It's complete as far as I can tell. It needs a bit of TLC, but if I can get it registered here in my name then it will get the TLC it needs.

According to the tax office here, it hasn't been on the road since 1993. It's been sat in a field since then so I've been told. We don't have much rain so on the face of it, its not that rusty. I can't see the underneath though as it is surrounded by spiky weeds.

I have tried searching around the internet but can't find out much about them more than what's on Wki.

What I do really want to know is how many of these are left? I gather parts are a problem.

I'd like to restore it. The purist in me says keep it original, especially as it is pretty much in its original form, but I want to use it so I'm thinking of making it into a luxury camper as far as I can given the size.

Oh. It's value is another point of interest. I can get it for next to nothing, but licencing and registration fees will be a bit of an issue. If it isn't so rare, or worth anything, I might not bother.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

All the best.

Derek
