Advice Needed On What Are The Best Parts To Service A 2008 Avensis T18

Hi There,

My 2008 Avensis 2.2d D-CAT (dpf) T180 is due a service and I was wondering what's the best spark plugs, filters, oil, etc to get?

Boch is really good, I always use them on my car which are not in warrenty

you do not have spark plugs on a diesel. Diesel have glow plugs - I wouldn't change these as part of a service.

The genuine filters are the best in my opinion.

a known brand like ADL blueprint, mann or any others should be fine.

If its still under warranty using after market filters may void it. check your T&C's first.

service item on diesels include;

Oil and Oil filter

Air filter

Fuel filter

Cabin Filter (Pollen filter) Very easy to change on the T25 compared to T22 Avensis.7

Good thread Mike, I guess it its come down to you get what you pay for, after watching a few Toyota is still the best.

I do not have the spare money to open a filter as mine are around £16 from Toyota- I serviced my car yesterday and have saved the filter to see how it has lasted . I have a ADL blueprint in another car (same engine) I should be able to compare in the coming weeks.
