08 To 12 Facelift Conversion

Hi Chaps,

Dad's Avensis we think will be written off today, now he loves it and has only had it 12 hours. It's a top spec 08 plate, nag, bluetooth, leather and all that, said it was driving like a dream, really happy! Then unfortunately his fault he went into the back of someone. Anyway he's admitted his fault.

If they repair it great if not he wants to buy it back and fix it as he does love it. Found an 08 plate on eBay breaking in the exact same colour. Fantastic no drams. I then spotted the newer front-end facelift version. Though to myself I would come here and see if it's possible to be do a conversion? has one one done it?

Anyone done or tried to do it? Will it/Won't it work?

Hi,

First can you confirm that the 08 that he crashed is a T27 (they were not in showrooms until December 2008 which would be a 58 plate)? Otherwise it is a T25 & they are different cars ...

It was an 08 and was a T25 :)

Different cars then so probably not possible. & if it is your father's insurance company would probably have kittens when you told them about the Frankensis... :P
