Hi

I am in the process of buying a Sept 2006 Avensis 2.2 D-4D T3 would appreciate some advice on

Dpf as I have had trouble with my last car ( ford focus). Anyone know if it has dpf and will it have a timing chain and not a belt

No DPF on this model & yes it has a timing chain.

However.you should read up on the potential head/head gasket issues that can affect this engine especially as it is now out of the extended goodwill period from Toyota.

You should check for any of the signs & enquire if it has had any repair/replacement work.
