My 2013 Yaris Damages Really Easily......or Is It Me?

I have a 13 plate Yaris and it just seems to me that even the slightest knock/scrape results in quite substantial damage.

The other day I accidently reversed into a fence but very slowly as I was letting another car pass, this resulted in paintwork the size o a 50p piece dissapearing.

So what do others think, do the cars damage easily?

Water based paints by their very nature are thinner, but any paint taking a knock / scrape will damage it. I always try to avoid bumping into things to start with :lol:
