2010 Verso 1.6 V-Matic 6Sp Gearbox

hi we have a early 10 verso 1.6 coming in this week with noisy gearbox bearings has anyone had this fault or stripped one of these gearboxs , the car is not in 5yr warranty and toyota dont want to know i have to say this is the 2nd verso in 2 weeks that has come in with gearbox trouble the other one was a d4d that was crunching in 4th gear but it was 2011 so toyota honoured it , im starting to think the turkish built cars are not up to same quality as uk or french built just they seem to have a few more niggly issues what do you guys think.

Presumably Toyota don't want to know re a goodwill contribution as the car is outside the Toyota dealer network.

Do you get the same issues with either the first generation Auris 3 door/van or the Corolla saloon - as these were/are also built in Turkey. The first generation Auris 5 doors were built in the UK.

true frostyballs toyota dont want to know out of warranty unless there is a tsb or common fault they seem to have cut back lately on goodwill claims as we have been knocked back on a few the past few months. actually come to think of it we did a auris d4d van gearbox last year and that was turkish built i cant say if the box is assembled in turkey or elsewhere or maybe a incorrect oil or amount of it.
