2007 Yaris Interior Fuse Box

Afternoon all, how is everyone?

I have recently bought a 2007 Tspirit however the cigarette lighter doesn't appear to be working. After trying to find the fuse box to check the fuse I am unable to find it - the one under the hood doesn't include the interior.

I've heard it is in the passenger glove box however still can't locate it - any help would be appreciated!

Many thanks,

Fiona

Ello.

There should be a panel on the underside of the dashboard. It'll probably be on the passenger side under/behind the glovebox.

Might be worth taking a look under the dashboard on the drivers side first, just in case they put it there...that'd be far easier to get at.

Doesn't the owners manual give you any hints?

You have remembered to test it with the ignition switched on?

My handbook, for a 59 reg T-Spirit, shows the location of the fuse boxes.

Thanks for your help guys, I think I may have found it...

Unfortunately the car was bought 2nd hand and didn't come with a manual, so my dad bought one online however he is at home in Southampton and I am at uni in Birmingham so there was no way to double check. The manual said either under the dashboard (which is where I think I have found it) or you have to rip out the glove box to find it behind there... Thought I'd see if anyone had the same model and would be able to tell me its exact location.

And yes, the car was running at the time I tried to plug something in with no luck

according to my handbook there are potentially 3 fuse boxes under the bonnet

1) over to the offside of the vehicle but only if you have daytome running lights or vehicle stability control ?

2) on the near side, to the right of the Battery

3) behind the Battery to the left (in front of fuel filter)

and then 4) in the car, under the near side glove box (RH drive cars) - maybe thats the one difficult to get to ?

If it's anything like the Mark1 Yaris, removing the glove box is easy: just press the two vertical sides in towards each other and this should disengage them from the pivot at the bottom.
