Trouble With Am Radio On A 2003 Toyota Yaris

Hi

I'm after a bit of help if anyone can.

Basically about 3 months AM radio just stopped working in my car. Most people wouldn't be bothered by this but I !Removed! love a bit of 5Live so I want to get this fixed :g:

The only thing I've tried so far is replacing the external roof aerial as it was looking a bit battered anyway. The FM stations are coming through better than ever now but still nothing on AM.

Not sure what to do now. Get a new car radio fitted? Go to a mechanic? Go to somewhere like Halfords with a bemused look on my face?

Anyone have ideas about what is wrong or how I can get this sorted?

Thanks :D '

I think the radio AM circuits may have given up. If you could source a second hand radio, that may be your only fix.

Fitting of any other type radio may need adaptors for the wiring and facia.

I have included a link to a video of how to remove the radio. Not too difficult.

That way you can instruct who ever is going to touch your car. There are some forceful types out there.

Good luck.
