Hi, just wondering what pressures people are using with the 18" wheels on 2.2d4d (2012) book says 36 front and 34 rear, seems to ride better with them a couple of psi lower though.

You probably are not going to get many answers to this as Toyota UK registers very few Avensis 2.2 TSpirits/Excels per year (tens rather than hundreds) & probably most of those are demonstrators/management cars.

Have you checked the plate on the drivers B pillar?

My copy of the manual says for 91W tyres & under 99mph 37 front & 35 rear. For 95W tyres (what my Tourer runs) & under 99mph 40 front & 34 rear.

& how they feel will also vary according to the tyre construction i.e. softer/stiffer sidewall. I replaced the oem Bridgestones with Goodyears & they feel a bit softer.

Thanks, I didn't realise they sold so few. I have just switched from Bridgestone to Goodyear so maybe that's it more than the pressures. They are a 95W on the saloon too (although for the Eagle F1 they are a Y)

I must have misread the manual too, on the B pillar it's got 40psi front and 34psi rear. No wonder it felt soft.
