Bonnet Release Cable Broken

Hi, I've spent ages browsing the pages here and may have missed something. I have a new bonnet release cable for a 1999 Avensis being delivered in a couple of days and if anyone can give some advice on fitting it I would be eternally grateful as I can't even seem to remove the old one.

The release cable is covered in the Haynes manual.

Basically the lower right hand trim where the release lever is located, needs to be removed. The front right wheel are liner also needs to be removed. And the facia lower trim panel need to be removed. Remove the radiator grill. Remove the release lock and unhook the cable from the lock. Do the same for the release lever by disconnecting the out cable from the clips and unhook the cable end from the lever.

Release the cable from the guide clips in the wheel arch, engine bay and interior. Tie a strong, long cord to the lock end and feed the cable through the bulkhead into the interior. Note the route and the cord should be left in place, to pull and guide the new cable back in place.

Fitting is reverse of removal.

Thanks Konrad. I had a feeling it wouldn't be simple. I have it out as far as the holr in the inner wing from the lock end with thick string attached. I'll post how I get on with the rest of the job.
