Fuel Line

Hi all,

I need a wee bit of advice regarding my son's 02 corolla d4d if possible.

The original problem was a leak from the fuel line just before it heads to the front. This I fixed by cutting out the bad bit and setting in a new piece of rubber hose specially for the job. (hose clips as well). Around about the same time the car began to act funny. It would bring on the engine light and go to limp home mode, and after a few minutes would cut out altogether. It was then very hard to start but when it did, it would run for a wee while then do the same again. I have replaced the fuel line from the tank to the filter, bypassed the filter, removed tank conns and cleaned any gunge, but still the same. Tomorrow I will empty the tank and refuel, I forgot to mention that I got the scanner on it but no dtc's at all. Someone said to be sure to bleed the fuel pump, but the wee bolt is wild tight and I'm afraid of wringing it, I bled it through the return line banjo bolt. I've exhausted all avenues I can think of other than replacing the diesel.

Has anyone experienced this problem and sorted it?.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Dee
