I have a 1.8 vvti engine in my Corolla. It was a oil burner and today in the spark plug console, its filled with oil. Engines not starting now. Ive been told I need a new engine. I want to know what engines will fit inside it. Can 1.8 Celica without turbo etc fit inside? Will old verso 1.8 engine fit? Can avensies 1.8 vvti engines fit inside? Also what is my engine number? Its a 2004 Corolla Verso, 7 seats.

As far as I'm aware the 1.8 petrol engine in the Corolla Verso was the 1ZZ-FE, which was also fitted to the 2003-2009 Toyota Avensis

The 1ZZFE 1.8 vvti engine in your Verso is only shared with:

Corolla Verso Feb 2004 - Feb 2009

Avensis Jan 2003 - Nov 2008
