Corolla 1999 2.0 Diesel Estate Gearbox Oil Question.

Hi there,

I have a 1999 Corolla 2.0 diesel estate ( E11 I think, it's got the 'frog eye' head lights) with 150k miles on the clock and I think the gearbox oil has never been changed. The gear box is also a bit notchy so I'm hoping changing the oil will help.

I love this car as its been really cheap to run and very reliable over the 5 years I've owned it.

My question is what oil do I need to buy and how much of it?

Is it worth putting an additive in the gearbox at the same time? If so which one?

Also where is the best place in the UK to buy it from? I was thinking Wilco or Exhuast Unlimited??

Thanks in advance.

only use the correct type of gearbox oil, check your user manual for type and quantity, stick to genuine gearbox oil from the Toyota parts department or a well known brand.

(they should be able to tell you what spec you need and how much)
