I posted recently asking for help with buying one. I've read your advice and checked out the links. After viewing 4 celicas we settled on one.

It's a blue VVTLi 190, 2001, 150k miles. full leather, sun roof etc. The previous owner spent some money and got some nice alloys on it and some coil overs professionally installed. Just those worth the value of the car alone. It's got high mileage, but everything is in great condition, full service history. It easily has another 50k or more left in the engine.

All for £950. I have some exciting builds for the car lined up! Will keep the forum active!

Thanks!.

Images attached.

Ironic that out of the 4 we saw, the one with the highest mileage happened to be the best runner and in the best condition.

They're nice, but only 17's. Looking to sell them and get some 18's or 19's instead. Also those back wheels need some spacers or something! Sit too far in!

Three nuggets of advice for you.

Check the lift/flange bolts for wear. They have probably already been changed to the revised type..but still check!.

Notify your Ins. Co. of the coil-overs, rear spoiler and larger after-market wheels.

Don't go any bigger than 17"..the Gen 7 hates big, heavy wheels increasing the unsprung weight.

Thanks, I will take a good look over the car this weekend. To be honest. I haven't even seen it in the day light yet. Bought it at night, and I've been working every day! It's defiantly in a great condition though, and runs better than the other 100k's we looked at.

As far as I know, it came out of the factory like that :D. It's only going to be 3rd party anyway, fully comp is +£1,200 on the insurance.

I just feel that the 17's are slightly too small for it. 18's should be fine, the weight won't be much different. Happy to sell them, they are in top notch condition, slight scrape on one, but nothing major. New tyres on them too.
