1997 Carina E Wiper Problem

Hi. The passenger side wiper on my wife's Carina stopped working, while the driver's side is working OK. Sounds like a problem with the linkage but I am working away from home right now so cannot look. Would like to do a bit of research beforehand as will only have a day or two to fix it next week.

Is this a known problem? Can it be easily fixed, does the whole assembly need to be replaced or is it a question of just replacing the linkages?
