Yaris Trend Paint Problem? ( Around Skirt Area )

Hi, newbie here, more of a lurker..... I bought this yaris as new 5 mos ago from my local dealer for my kid and I just noticed now about this paint finish around skirt? area if this is normal? Many thanks

Check with the dealer, but it looks to me like it has an anti-chip coating beneath the paint.

Many thanks for quick reply, i've been told that it is indeed anti-chip coating to prevent rust in the future.

This area is vulnerable to stone chips hence the reason for the application of the anti-chip coating below the surface finish :)
