Good morning and hello to you all.

I am going to see a rav4 t180 soon, I thought It would be best if I came on here and spoke to some of you experts. The car has done approximately 130 miles in the last service was carried out around 110 miles my question is for you guys what should I look out for when viewing the car?

I really hope it is a good example because I like them.

Thank you in advance much appreciated

Jonny

Hi thanks, I'm looking to buy the car privately, I don't think I would be able to work out if the coolant is leaking or if the oil is being burnt?

Is there any tell telling things I should avoid upon viewing the car? The car was last serviced approx 20k ago and now is on 130k is there something I should be potentially looking at?

Thanks again

Managed to agree on a price collecting on Thursday. Is the mileage on these anything to be concerned with?

Hi Jonny,

!30k is a lot but if its been looked after apart from the last service gap and your price your paying reflects the mileage why not

Must say though by far the best car i have ever owned

Sent you a PM regarding a T180

I've managed to get it for 4.5k not sure if I've got a deal?

I'm based in Birmingham I was thinking of getting it serviced as looked at by a dealer or specialist. Anyone recommend anyone near me? I just hope I don't miss something and it stings me after on the drive home. A Friend has a diagnostic machine which I will plug in for any faults. I hope it's a goodun, just baffled why it hasn't wen serviced for the last 20k

Check the oil and water levels carefully. Especially the oil level. If it rises, then the HG may be dying. Remember you will have a few months in which to reject the car if faulty..

Thanks

I will have a few hours to view the car. If there's a lot of carbon (black smoke) coming out of the exhaust is that ok?

I'm buying private not from a garage.

Hi,

Purchased the rav4 is there a groove on the rav4 on the clutch? It's as if there's a bump upon releasing the clutch?

Also sounds like there's a faint load on the engine until I depress the clutch? Is this normal?

Thanks jb
