Ipod Connection?

I have been looking through the site but to no avial. I am looking for a way of getting my ipod/iphone connected to my cars stereo. FYI my car is a 2006 Rav4 XT5 and has touch screen sat nav too if that helps.

They look like what i am after. I am assuming then i need to check the connections on my stereo first to see what i need. I remember when i did the same thing to my focus that i paid about a tenner for a similar thing but it was just a lead that connected to the stereo with no controls and that would be sufficient if i can find what i am looking for

Fords generally have an Aux function on radios so all you need to connect an iPod etc is a cable. Not so simple on your Rav unit - this doesn't have an Aux function so there's no simple way of connecting an external device. Hence you'll need a linking system as per the examples listed by Frostyballs.

There is a cheap and cheerful generic system available which simply transmits a signal from your iPod which is picked up by tuning your radio to a certain frequency. There may however be some sound quality issues.

What stereo keys do i need to remove the stereo to check which connection kit i need to buy?
