Hi, can any body shed any light on a problem I have. I own a 2008 Rav4 Mk3 and just recently we had some very heavy rain and I found quite a big puddle of water in the footwell (passenger side). Any ideas please. Thanks Mick.

Check the pollen filter to see whether it is blocked.

Im not sure how water on the passenger side floor relates to a blocked pollen filter!
What you describe is a fairly common problem though not often seen on cars after late 2007. It's usually due to a failed windscreen cowl seal and there is a bulletin on installing an improved seal. Cowl _leak REVISED-2.pdf Sometimes the problem starts after having a replacement windscreen fitted when the seal is damaged and is often worse when the car is parked on an incline. If the pollen filter is damp - the problem is almost certainly the cowl seal.
