hi i`m new to here so bear with me thanks.

i got a celica 1.8cc vvti on V-reg.

mileage is around 145,000 ish

it runs only on three cylinders does not burn oil or loose water.

had a compression test done came up with cylinder no: 3 no compression at all

same result with dry and wet test also a diagnostic test came up with pending fault no: 3 cylinder.

i did the paper test on exhaust and flaps like hell so is it valve problem?

runs ok`ish just not got as much power it should have also water temp stay`s normal

one more thing i seen the engine management light stay on and some times to start flashing then back to constent on again any genuine advise esp from full turm mechanic can be of great help please.

shame lovery car want get it running as it should again i perched it like this so not much history on it sorry

Hi Drew

It sounds very much like you have a valve burnt out in the head and the only real answer is to take the cyl. head off and have a look. Could be a bit of messing about and a tad expensive but it seems the obvious answer.

Seems like the only real way to find out is whipping the head off. Good luck.
