Regular Peeping Noise Coming From Mmt Gearbox

Dear All

I have had the Verso with MMT since 2006 without any problems. Now when we drive the car in either MMT or semi auto mode we get a regular peeping noise from the gearbox area. There is nothing flashing up on the dashboard. We changed the gearbox oil to hopefully get rid of the problem, but to no avail. The car has done 80,000 miles. Is the car sending us a warning? Hopefully someone else will have had this problem.
