Corolla Verso 2007 D-4D 2.2 180Hp Dash Board Rattle When Accelerating

Hi everyone!

I've been a long time lurker at TOC forums and this is my first post here.

Just yesterday my Corolla Verso started making this dash board rattle/vibration when accelerating.

It's very loud/strong at 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears but it gets a lot quieter on 4th 5th and 6th.

Whoever, the dash board doesn't rattle/vibrate when accelerating on idle and the said rattle/vibration can only be heard while inside the car and while in gear.

Decided to try the air filter intake lose pipe fix(mentioned in several threads here), but after opening up the air filter box (fitted a new air filter about a month ago) it seems that the said fix has been done previously(by previous owner) as the pipe is fixed to the filter box by 2 screws and it seems to be firmly in place

By the way, I'm located currently in Tampere, Finland, and just before Xmas temperatures dropped to -20/-25 Celsius for over a week. Car had a pretty rough cold start after Xmas, before I went back to work, but only yesterday this rattle/vibration has developed.

Also the rattle/vibration is present whether the aircon is on or off.

Car has around 232k klm, with a new motor with around 95k klm done under warranty by local Toyota(gasket problem) by previous owner.

Car was bought back in November from a local independent car dealer in very good condition with 223k klm driven.

Does anyone have any clue of what this rattle/vibration annoying problem could be and where it could be coming from? I been searching the forums in here and googled the heck outta of it but so far no luck on pinning down what this could be.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Best Regards,

Thiago Ferreira

PS: Will try and record the rattle/vibration on my phone's cam and try to post it here for easier diagnose.

*(After many failed attempts at recording the said rattle/vibration I finally managed to:

I have the same problem, with my 2007, you may want to try the air vent covers on
the dashboard, my vibrated a bit, also the surround of the dashboard which
vibrated a lot, I did a none technical mend for this is called blue-tack, it
acts as a barrier to stop the vibration noises.
