Muurman From The Netherlands With An Avensis T25 2.2 D-4D D-Cat

Hello,

i'm erik muurman from the netherlands.

Afther driving VAG TDI for 12 years i though buy something else.

So it wanted a good car and though toyota. So i bought an avensis 2.2 d-4d d-cat :g:

It's a very nice car to drive. But afther hearing about injector problems and so on i hope i have luck.

I bought the car with 6 month warrenty. So afther 6 month i want to remove the d-cat(dpf)

I also want to remove the egr, but as far as i know this isn't possible.

I think the key to keeping the 2.2 engine in good health is servicing, a minimum of stop/start short journeys & a bit of luck ! Some have been hit hard in the pocket & others nothing at all ......

To be fair mid-2009 (for Avensis) on cars don't seem to have the hg etc. issues. that can afflict a small but noticeable % of the earlier ones.

DPF is now empty, ( no errors, i use a emulator )

EGR is now working anymore ( also no errors ) ( http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/66990-blocking-egr-valve/page-4 )

Car was taking 1 liter for every 15km now it is taking 1 liter for every 17km !

And car is running better. Turbo spools better. And i think more power .
