Instrument Cluster Swap - 98 Corolla 1.3 (E11) (4E-Fe)

Hello all!

I own a 1998 1.3 (E11) Corolla in red! 124k and counting!

However I would like to swap the instrument cluster over. It currently has one with no rev counter and a monster fuel and temp gauge. I would like to fit one with a rev gauge if possible.

My main concern is programming the mileage to be correct and actually getting the rev counter to work?

You won't be able to program the milege. I not sure if the dash will work, you may need to look at the connectors to see do they fit.

Normally these cars (dependant on chassis number) are pre-wired.

The rev counter may require a rpm pick up, a scan of live data using a code reader should be able to tell you as you will be able to see the engine rpm.

It could be worth trying one to see, but it would be a risk you would have to think about.
