Does Fitting Pollen Filter Yourself Affect Warranty?

Toyota want £37.44 to fit a new pollen filter during my service. Does it affect the warranty if I buy a Toyota one and fit it myself? Do they have their own one or are they third party as they all seem to cost about a third of their quoted price?

they have their own filter albeit I'm sure that it is manufactured for them by an oem supplier.

Can't see why fitting a pollen filter of equivalent or better quality yourself should affect the warranty but make sure that you keep the receipt to prove quality/replacement.

No doubt devon aygo or Kingo can confirm.

Fitting a pollen filter yourself won't affect the warranty as it is a consumable (in the same way that oil filters, etc are), but it may be best to get one that matches Toyota OE equipment.

You can buy Toyota's pollen filters from your dealership or send Parts King a personal message detailing your car and what you want - for Parts King go to the Community page, scroll down to Sponsor's Corner and Lindop Toyota.

Toyota do two levels of pollen filter - standard and enhanced: see http://blog.toyota.co.uk/toyota-cabin-filters-the-secret-to-cleaner-air-infographic
