Is anyone else unhappy about the lack of a cd player??? Is it possible to have one fitted in the new 2015 model?

A lot of manufacturers are moving away from providing a CD player as standard in cars. I raised awareness back in June 2013, that the Touch 2 system would move away from a standard CD player - see http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/148675-touch-go-next-generation-no-cd-player/?hl=%2Btouch+%2Bplayer

I don't know whether Toyota dropped the plans to offer a CD player to those customers who wanted it as per my post, as a cost option - perhaps it may be worth checking with Toyota.

At least it has a usb port so looks like I shall have to put all my favourites onto there so I can still sing my heart out on my short drive to work!!

Cassette tapes are old hat.

CD's took their place, now they are old hat.

Its a case of moving on with the times.

i know in our home, we very rarely play cd's..... never really thought that day would come, but so much more convinient connecting phone to Speakers via bluetooth.

Cannot remember the last time I used a CD in my Auris - got lots of music on a nano usb that just stays plugged into the car's usb socket. Slightly more compact than playing your 45's -
