Toyota Yaris Steering Wheel

Hello all,

New to the forum and also to the Toyota scene.

I have got a Yaris (T2) 2007, the car originally comes with a non multi-function steering wheel. I have bought a multi-function steering wheel for the car along with a new airbag to fit.

I am aware that the airbag squib behind the steering wheel does not have the pins in the connector for me to plug in and for it to work.

Would anyone happen to know if once I have replaced the steering squib for one that has the pins ready for the multi-function option, would I be able to simply plug in my new steering wheel and the functions on the steering wheel will be fully working or is there additional wiring I would need to add as well????......

Many thanks for the info!!

Regards

The 2007 Yaris T2 was the base model of the Yaris

It is unlikely to have any additional wiring fitted to the steering column to allow for fitment of steering wheel audio controls

It may be necessary to obtain a replacement wiring loom.....but not sure if this will fit

Quite probable the radio won't have the necessary connections either.
